Office Assistant Job Description

Our small marina is looking for a reliable, organized and very self-motivated Office Assistant to tend to the day-to-day administrative aspects of our marina. This successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and excellent communication skills. THIS JOB WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY WEEKLY. We are looking for someone who can operate effectively with little or no supervision.

This person will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls and other communications, greeting customers and visitors, as well as managing files, updating paperwork and other documents, and performing other general office duties as assigned by the manager.

In order for you to be selected as a candidate, you will need the ability to write clearly and be proficient with computer applications. A pleasing personality with strong communication skills is also highly valued.

Office Assistant Responsibilities:

-Handling incoming calls and other communications.
-Managing filing system.
-Recording information accurately.
-Greeting customers and visitors.
-Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing.
-Helping organize and maintain cleanliness of the office and storage facility areas inside and outside on a daily basis.
-Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
- -Creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases.

Office Assistant Job Requirements:

-Experience in customer service is required.

-Must be able to multi-task.

-Experience in a fast paced environment.
-Warm personality with strong communication skills.

-Experience with Outlook, MS Word and Excel
-Ability to work well under limited supervision.
-Great written and verbal communication skills.
-Must be punctual and have good attendance habits
